The ARC Asia Pacific Futures Research network (ARC-APFRN) in conjunction with the International Centre for Excellence in Asia Pacific Studies (ICEAPS) and the Asian Studies Association of Australia (ASAA) is seeking to develop a register of research postgraduates working on topics related to Asia and Pacific Studies.

The register would enable us to efficiently inform students of opportunities for scholarships, research and travel grants etc specific to postgraduate researchers via email. You are probably aware of the growing number of opportunities open to postgraduates in Asia Pacific Studies as a result of the recent injection of federal government funding to our areas. For example, the APFRN recently supported a very successful postgraduate Winter Workshop on Citizenship, Identity and Mobility hosted by the University of Wollongong.

Students wishing to join the register should go to the following link and complete the online form: Postgraduate Register or [https://apollo.anu.edu.au/apollo/default.asp?pid=1101&script=true]

The form is very simple and should take no more than 5 minutes to complete. It asks for simple information such as thesis title, supervisors' names, area of study, key words etc.

The information collected in this process will not be passed on to any other groups, nor will it be used for non-academic purposes. The goal is to create an efficient mechanism for contacting research students on matters of academic interest and benefit to them.
